Sometimes it's hard to know where to get started with putting a rig together (I had this problem myself as a musician), so this tool will help you get started on your rig. Once you build a rig configuration you like, save it (with a free account) then use our interface to group items together, add/remove items, then browse gear on searchmusicgear.com and add items you find to your rig. Once you put it together, share it with friends and/or our community rigs page.
Whether you're a beginner putting together your first rig, an intermediate player looking to upgrade, or a gigging musician chasing a specific tone, this tool does the heavy lifting for you.
How It Works:
- Answer 6 quick questions about your instrument, genre/style, playing context (live, studio, bedroom, etc.), budget, tone preference (analog/vintage, digital/modern, or hybrid), and experience level.
- Our AI processes your answers and generates a complete rig recommendation.
- You get a curated list of guitars, amps, pedals, cabs, and accessories with live Reverb listings so you can buy immediately.

For extra fun, when you are answering questions and get to budget, we added an "Insanity Mode" button. This gives our AI an ulimited budget to put your rig together. Even if it's unnafordable, we thought it would be fun to see what happens! Try it for yourself.
