Matt Tuck Rig

Matt Tuck is the vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Welsh metalcore band Bullet for My Valentine, whose breakthrough tone on The Poison (2005) and Scream Aim Fire (2008) was a drop-C Jackson Randy Rhoads V into a Peavey 6505. Live he ran Jackson RR1T models (later the 2009 Jackson Matt Tuck Signature Rhoads with EMG 81/85 pickups and a reverse headstock) through a pair of 6505 heads into Mesa/Boogie 4x12 cabinets, with an Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer left on and two Boss NS-2 gates keeping the chugs tight. Cleans came from a Roland JC-120, and a Morley Bad Horsie wah covered the occasional lead accent.

He left Jackson around Temper Temper (2013) for a B.C. Rich Matt Tuck Signature V, then on the Venom cycle (2015) switched to Gibson Custom Kirk Hammett Flying V relics and Gibson Les Paul Customs while the backline moved from 6505s to a Kemper Profiler loaded with a profile of Andy Sneap's 5150 from The Poison sessions. For the 2021 self-titled album he tracked a Gibson Explorer Custom and the Les Paul Custom through Diezel VH4 heads into Mesa 4x12s; live the Kemper remains the touring rig rather than a wall of Peaveys.
