Fender / Squire Japan Stratocaster - 1985 - Honey Burst - USA Pickups

Selling my unique Made in Japan Fender / Squire vintage E-Series, hot-rodded "Golden Era" Stratocaster, crafted at the legendary Fujigen factory in October 1985 at the zenith of their production powers.

This guitar pairs world-class 1980s Japanese woodwork with premium American tone.

-> Upgraded with a set of genuine American single-coils featuring vintage-accurate bevelled, staggered magnets (see photos for the USA pickups prior to being put in the guitar). Superb string-to-string balance across the fretboard radius. Housed in a new, sleek, modern matte black pickguard, they deliver stunning clarity and classic Stratocaster chime.

-> Professionally Refinished Body: the body has had the lacquer removed and been professionally refinished by Wolf Stone Guitars (UK) in a breathtaking, warm Honey Burst. This finish lets the guitar resonate and makes the organic wood grain pop beautifully, giving the guitar a high-end, premium aesthetic.

-> Authentic Natural Relic Neck: The crown jewel of this instrument (heel pencil-dated 7-10-85, stamped ST-357). The slim neck profiles from the E-Series era are widely considered some of the finest, most comfortable necks Fender has ever put its name on. Features a glorious, genuine natural relic patina earned through 4 decades of playing wear, including extensive touring during the 1990s. The fretboard edges are naturally rolled by hand friction, offering a silky, fast & completely "broken-in" feel that artificial relicing cannot mimic. The neck is straight, stable & plays like butter.

A stunning, fully upgraded, stage-ready tone machine, with the option to restore it to its 1985 sonic layout in the future.

The guitar has been professionally setup by Mike's Guitar Workshop (UK) ready for its new owner.

Comes with:

-> Fender Deluxe Molded Hard Case in excellent condition (straps have been partially disconnected to prevent mishaps but can be reconnected easily).

-> The original 1985 Japanese ceramic factory pickups and plastic pickup covers.

-> The original 1985 Japanese plastic volume and tone knobs.
