Following the major specification changes in 1999, this '56 Goldtop boasts a highly refined Historic Collection specification. After 25 years, both its sound and appearance have reached a higher level of perfection.

The most striking feature of this particular instrument is undoubtedly its fretboard. From the end of the BZF line in 2003 until the mid-2000s, some Historic Collection guitars featured Madagascar rosewood fretboards, and this instrument possesses the characteristic reddish-brown color with black stripes typical of those guitars from that era.

Thanks to this superb fretboard, the acoustic sound is remarkably responsive, rich, and allows for incredibly smooth fingering. Furthermore, it's remarkably lightweight for its age at 4.06kg, and of course, it's an all-solid body.

While there's some resoldering on the potentiometer side, the pickups, based on the other components, are believed to be original Gibson P-90s. It's likely that the pickups were replaced with other pickups in the past and then restored to their original state.

Although there are some minor scratches, it maintains a clean appearance considering its age, and the truss rod and frets show almost no wear, so you can use it for many years to come.
