The Epiphone Riviera Royal Tan draws on the Riviera’s semi-hollow design, familiar since 1961, and combines the classic ES-inspired construction with contemporary features. The five-ply maple/poplar body features a solid maple centre block, which enhances sustain and reduces susceptibility to feedback compared to fully hollow constructions. The set mahogany neck, with a comfortable Rounded-C profile, features a rosewood fingerboard with a 12"-radius, 22 medium-jumbo frets and pearloid parallelogram inlays. Two Epiphone PRO Mini Humbuckers deliver a clear tone that is slightly brighter than that of full-size humbuckers and can be controlled via separate volume and tone controls fitted with CTS potentiometers. A LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and the distinctive Frequensator tailpiece form the string-holding system, whilst Epiphone Deluxe tuners, a Graph Tech nut and nickel hardware complete the specification. The high-gloss Royal Tan finish, the binding on the top and back, and the traditional dovewing headstock emphasise the Riviera’s classic appearance. A premium gig bag is included. Marshall JMH Studio.
