Epiphone Les Paul Custom Black Beauty 2007 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have an Epiphone Les Paul Custom 'Black Beauty' Electric Guitar in Ebony finish. Made in China in 2007, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Tune-o-matic bridge, a Stopbar tailpiece, Gold hardware, and Grover tuners. The pickups installed are three Alnico Classic Humbuckers that are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector. 

The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the 'C' profile filling the hand without being too cumbersome, offering a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard feels luxurious under the fingers and provides a smooth playing surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius and Medium Jumbo frets making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. 

The Epiphone humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The Epiphone humbucker in the middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The Epiphone humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. A light chip to the finish is present to the treble side edge rear face, this is located near the high E tuning machine and has lightly exposed the wood beneath. Light to moderate scratching is present to all aspects of the headstock which can be seen under direct light.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register which can be felt in the playing position, the most apparent of these have pierced the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood beneath.Light indentations are present to the fingerboard across the register, the most apparent of these is located at the 13th fret upwards, these can not be felt in the playing position. Light to mild scratching is present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can be seen under direct light. A light chip to the binding is preset to the 1st fret treble side binding.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to moderate scratching and indentations. The most apparent indentations are located to the rear face with the most noticeable being seen near the control plate. Further indentations are scattered around the rear face and to the side edges with the most apparent being located to the treble side horn edge, all indentations have pierced the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood beneath. All scratching is visible under direct light, the most apparent scratching is located to the rear face consistent with past use. Light lacquer cracking is located to the treble side edge where the body and neck meet, this can only be seen under direct light and has been stress tested presenting no structural concerns.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Mild denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. Light to mild tarnishing and oxidation is present to all aspects of the metal hardware, this is consistent with regular past use. Mild scratching is present to the pickguard which can be seen under direct light.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
