Gibson Les Paul Classic Vintage Sunburst 2015 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Classic 120th Anniversary electric guitar in Vintage Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2015, this guitar was part of a limited run of instruments commemorating 120 years of Gibson quality & craftsmanship since Orville Gibson set up his first shop in Kalamazoo, MI in 1894. Naturally, a set-neck construction is employed and comprises a Mahogany body with Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a StopBar tailpiece, Nashville TOM bridge & Gibson G-Force Tuning System. A pair of Gibson '57 Classic passive humbucking pickups are installed and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume controls with push/pull coil-splits, master tone & a +15dB boost mini toggle switch. 

The Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with the '60s Slim Taper profile offering comfortable playability and easy reach across the register. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75" scale, whilst the single cutaway body design ensures easy access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional 12" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The Mahogany body features traditional weight relief. This ensures comfort on long gigs without detracting from the 'classic' Les Paul experience; substantial & resonant. 

The pair of Gibson '57 Classic humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, exemplifying the rock and blues tones that the Les Paul has long been renowned for. The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power for pushing your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The bridge is of course brighter, perfect for rock rhythm parts and riffing because it can handle a serious amount of gain. There is all of the snarl and bite that we associate with rockin' Les Paul tones, yet at the same time definition and clarity is retained. The pickups clean up nicely too, with shimmering clean sounds ready for the softer sections of the set. The addition of the coil splits & boost control adds some serious versatility to an already highly practical instrument.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the edges of the headstock with the most apparent being seen to the front face top edges, these have caused light delamination not exposing the wood beneath. Light scratching is present to the front face of the headstock, these can be seen under direct light.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Light indentations are present to the two first frets of the fingerboard, these can be seen under close scrutiny and can not be felt in the playing position.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light circular indentation is present to the center of the rear face, these can only be seen under direct light. Light textured markings are present to the bass side rear face carrying over to the bass side shoulder edge, this is consistent with the nitrocellulose finish lightly reacting to something previously and is common with Gibson finishes. Light markings are present to the bottom edge of the body, these are seen as speckles and can only be seen under direct light. All aspects of the body display light scratching which can only be seen under direct light.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.

Hardware: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the hardware display light signs of past use. G-Force charger and spare battery included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.
