About This Listing

Made in New Hartford, Connecticut

Serial #: 519912

Great sounding, fully working mandolin with light play wear as listed below.

This rare MM68-7LTD was built in 1996 for Ovation's 30th anniversary. It features a solid spruce top, roundback composite body, mahogany/maple neck, ebony fingerboard with the 1966-1996 inlay at the 12th fret, gold hardware, and a bound headstock with the Ovation logo in pearl. It is equipped with the OP-24 preamp with volume and three band EQ for additional versatility. It plays great with comfortable action (5/64" at the 12th fret) and the frets are in excellent shape with no wear. The overall condition is very good with a couple cracks in the neck binding on the bass side and some slight lifting on the edges of the wood soundhole surround on the top. It comes with the original hard shell case in very good condition.
