Description

For sale is my 2017 PRS DGT (David Grissom Tremolo) Core, serial number 17 243807.

This is a beautiful example of the USA-made PRS DGT, with a particularly attractive figured maple top and an African Mahogany back.

Importantly, I contacted PRS Guitars Customer Service to confirm the specifications of this exact guitar, and PRS confirmed the following:

• Model: 2017 PRS DGT
• Serial: 17 243807
• Top: Figured Maple
• Back: African Mahogany
• Neck: Genuine Mahogany
• Fingerboard/Veneer: East Indian Rosewood
• Tuners: PRS Locking
• Bridge: DGT Tremolo
• Pickups: Grissom Treble and Bass

The guitar has the classic DGT specification, including the DGT-specific Grissom pickups, PRS tremolo system, locking tuners, moon inlays and the distinctive DGT control layout.

Condition

The guitar is in excellent overall condition for a 2017 instrument.

The finish presents beautifully and the figured maple top has excellent figuring. The back and sides are also exceptionally clean and glossy.

There may be the very occasional light cosmetic mark associated with normal ownership/use, but there is no significant damage, breakage or structural issue that I am aware of.

The frets, hardware, pickups and electronics are all in very good condition and the guitar plays and sounds exactly as you'd expect from a USA-made Core PRS.

Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

Included

The guitar comes with its original PRS hard case and the original PRS paperwork/documentation that I have for it.

I also have the email confirmation from PRS Guitars Customer Service confirming the exact specification of this guitar, including the African Mahogany back. I will include a photograph/screenshot of this confirmation in the listing for provenance.

Why this DGT?

The DGT is one of PRS's most successful artist models and was developed closely with David Grissom around his playing style and requirements.

The combination of the DGT pickups, 25" scale, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and PRS tremolo makes these extremely versatile guitars, equally at home with clean, edge-of-breakup and high-gain sounds.

This particular example has a very attractive figured maple top and African Mahogany back, confirmed directly by PRS, making it a particularly nice specification.

A genuine USA-made PRS Core DGT with its original case and documentation.
