Mosrite Ventures Model (Mark I) with hard case.

This guitar was made in late 1967 or early 1968 right after they changed the name on the top of the headstock and took The Ventures off.

This guitar plays well and is beautifully weather checked. Comes with what we believe to be the original case.

This instrument is a Mosrite Ventures Model (Mark I) styled electric guitar, finished in a classic three-tone sunburst. Originally designed in Bakersfield, California by luthier Semie Moseley, this silhouette became an iconic staple of 1960s surf rock through an exclusive endorsement deal with the instrumental group The Ventures.

Key Design Characteristics

• The "Reverse" Body & German Carve: The body shape features an asymmetrical, "flipped-over" Stratocaster aesthetic where the lower bout extends further forward than the upper horn. It features Mosrite's distinct "German Carve" deep body bevel around the outer edge.
• Slanted Neck Pickup: The single-coil neck pickup is uniquely angled forward toward the bass side to balance tonal response across the strings.
• Hardware System: It features a custom vibrato unit (either an early Vibramute or later Moseley design), high-output proprietary single-coil pickups, and a metal nut paired with a zero fret for uniform open-string action.
• Ultra-Thin Neck: Highly prized for its incredibly slim "speed neck" profile and low frets, allowing for lightning-fast lead playing.
