The Taylor JCSM-5 Jacob Collier Signature is unlike any other acoustic guitar in Taylor's lineup, offering a fresh perspective on both instrument design and musical creativity. Available at Haggerty's Music, this innovative 5-string Grand Concert was developed in collaboration with Grammy-winning artist Jacob Collier, whose fearless approach to harmony, composition, and multi-instrumental performance has redefined what modern musicianship can be. Built around Collier's own custom Taylor, the JCSM-5 invites players to step beyond conventional tuning and discover new musical landscapes through an instrument designed to inspire exploration.

Jacob Collier's long-standing relationship with Taylor Guitars has centered on his desire to create instruments that encourage creativity rather than conformity. Inspired by the custom 5-string Taylor he has relied on for years, the JCSM-5 arrives factory tuned to DAEAD, opening the door to rich harmonic voicings, simplified chord shapes, and entirely new compositional possibilities. Its compact Grand Concert body is crafted from beautifully figured select-grade Hawaiian koa, producing a voice that begins with focused clarity and develops increasing warmth, sweetness, and complexity as the wood matures. The naturally marbled West African Crelicam ebony used for the fingerboard, bridge, and headplate ensures that no two instruments are visually alike, making each guitar truly one of a kind.

Taylor complements the striking tonewoods with its celebrated V-Class bracing for enhanced sustain, volume, and intonation, while the onboard LR Baggs Element VTC pickup system faithfully reproduces the guitar's natural voice for live performance and recording. Elegant appointments — including the custom koa truss rod cover engraved with Jacob Collier's "JC" logo, antique chrome Gotoh 510 tuners, and a deluxe Taylor hardshell case — complete an instrument that celebrates curiosity, artistry, and innovation. Whether you're an experienced player seeking new creative inspiration or a developing musician looking for an approachable alternative to traditional six-string guitars, the JCSM-5 offers a truly unique musical experience.
