Aria Pro II SB-1000CB Cliff Burton bass MIJ Metallica

Obey Your Master! 2011 limited edition Aria Pro SB1000-CB.

Made for a couple of years only, the very hard to find ‘unofficial’ Cliff Burton model bass before they got the rights to release his signature version selling for twice as much (at least).

This is not a budget Aria bass... it was the top of the line made in Japan! It has a premium look and feel as you would expect. Do not mistake this for the similar but lower-spec'd Korean made SB-CB. Nor the latest SB-CLB (good grief!) which is a budget version made in who knows where.

This unique model combines features of two of the late Metallica bassist’s favourite Aria basses from back in the day, the SB1000 and ‘Black & Gold’. Features include neck-thru construction, ebony fingerboard with MOP cat’s eye inlays, rosewood truss rod cover, brass nut. Rotary switch pickup attack mode selector for tonal variety. BB circuit preamp, which can also be bypassed for passive operation without batteries. A very small clearcoat ding on the back, shown in the light and highlighted in the pics. Barely noticeable from a foot away. Otherwise only very light superficial scratches. Very clean, collector’s condition! You may not find one like this again.

Includes original Aria case, has some scratches on the edge but everything intact in generally good clean condition.

With Aria manual booklet and sticker

Please review the pics, all the pics above were taken of the most recent condition, or ask any questions if in doubt of something I may have have left out. Also please remember though it is in very good condition, that this guitar is used. As such, those people of a nervous disposition or expecting everything perfect are advised not to trouble themselves or me.
