A classic 60s-style Les Paul Standardβnow with even more vintage charm!
The Les Paul Standard 60s Double Trouble offers all the features and performance of our regular Les Paul Standard 60s models, but with an extra dose of vintage charm. These limited-edition Les Pauls differ from the standard Les Paul Standard 60s models in two key respects. First, the Burstbucker 61R and Burstbucker 61T pickups feature open coils and are equipped with standard Alnico 5 magnets. The second difference lies in the finish. The finish colors are "Vintage" variants of the standard nitrocellulose lacquer finishes. Gibsonβs standard gloss nitrocellulose finishes replicate the look of brand-new models from the 1950s, whereas the high-gloss vintage nitrocellulose finishes on the Les Paul Standard 60s Double Trouble models appear slightly faded compared to the standard versionsβreminiscent of the subtle, light vintage aging that develops over the course of several years. The burst patterns vary slightly from guitar to guitar, as each is individually hand-sprayed.
Naturally, all the standard features that make the Les Paul Standard 60s models so popular remain present, including a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body with a figured AA maple top, as well as a rounded, vintage-style 60s mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and trapezoid inlays. The Les Paul Standard 60s Double Trouble is equipped with an ABR-1βthe classic Tune-O-Matic bridgeβan aluminum stop-bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and gold "Top Hat" control knobs with silver reflectors and pointers. The uncovered, calibrated Burstbucker 61R (neck) and Burstbucker 61T (bridge) pickups are internally identical to their standard Burstbucker counterparts, but are housed in Double Classic White covers. Handcrafted at the Gibson Pickup Shop, they feature Alnico 5 magnets and are hand-wired with audio-taper potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors. The Double Classic White pickup covers and vintage-style finishes lend the Les Paul Standard 60s Double Trouble an elegant, vintage character.
Despite the vintage-style finish and affordable price point, production is limited to just 500 guitars per colorβmeaning availability is limited. So act fast and secure your favorite model while supplies last!
