1996 Fender Stratocaster with Case and Upgraded Everything!

For a 30-year-old guitar, this mint beauty is in better than showroom condition. There is one tiny pencil point ding on the edge of the guitar which I tried to show in the pictures.  The plastic covering is still on the pickguard.  This is one beautiful instrument—but the best thing is the upgrades.

First, there’s that alder body with the uber cool aquamarine metal flake color.  It’s at once bold and sexy.  BUT THEN there are those Lace Sensor Gold pickups.  Noiseless and a favorite of Eric Clapton, they are the best of the old 50s and 60s single coil tone.    Isn’t that what you really want?  An older guitar with that aged beautiful tone that is like new?  No crackle, no hiss and no 60-cycle hum.  And it stays in tune thanks to the Fender Locking Tuning Keys.

Here's the background on this wonderfully crafted guitar:

1.         This guitar has been owned by a collector.

2.         This old Fender is in better than show room condition (and so’s the case) without the brand new price tag.

3.         It has been kept in the case in a climate controlled room it’s entire life, so you could basically say it’s been “babied.”

4.         It has been played sparingly, but has a great set up with low action.   In fact, the frets look brand new.

 CONDITION 

I could go on all day about how beautiful this guitar is.  How light weight it is.  How easy it is to play. Cosmetically, there really are no issues with this guitar.  Look at the pictures.   I’ve looked carefully, and I can only find the one teeny mark on this guitar.  Personally, it appears to be a 9.9+ out of 10.  There are NO issues with playability.  The action is good and the guitar sounds beautiful, whether plugged or unplugged. Frankly, the combination of alder body and maple neck makes one of the most beautiful sounding guitars out there.  The Peavy hard/soft case also looks brand new.  No case candy.
