πŸ“ About This Listing

1993-94 Fender Japan ST-Champ10 / ST-CHAMP – Candy Apple Red Matching Headstock – MIJ Built-In Speaker Mini Strat

Here is a very rare and beautiful Fender Japan ST-Champ10 / ST-CHAMP, made in Japan with an N-prefix serial number, commonly dated to 1993–1994.

This is Fender Japan’s unique compact Strat-style model with a built-in speaker amp, powered by a 9V battery. It features a single CH humbucking pickup, Volume and Tone controls, and a speaker mode switch for Off / Clean / Distortion operation.

What makes this one especially attractive is the Candy Apple Red-style metallic finish with a matching headstock. Standard catalog examples are most commonly seen in Black or 3-Tone Sunburst, so this red matching-headstock version is a very uncommon and highly collectible variation.

Despite its compact size, this is not a toy guitar. It has a real Fender Japan build quality, a comfortable 24" scale length, a 42mm nut width, and an original CHAMP 10 tremolo bridge. It is a fun and practical guitar for home playing, travel, recording, or as a unique Fender Japan collector’s piece.

Please note: the built-in speaker and external amp output are not designed to be used at the same time. When a cable is plugged into the output jack, the built-in speaker is bypassed/muted. The Clean / Distortion circuit can still be used through an external amplifier, which is a very cool feature of this model.

The guitar has been carefully checked, cleaned, and set up for comfortable playability.
