------------------------------
The Spector Custom Shop NS-2 QM/PM M/EB EMG JJ UVL has arrived.

This is the first Japanese dealer. This factory-order model was hand-picked during a visit to the Spector workshop in NYC. It was created through extensive discussions with local staff.

This model features a heavy-duty bridge with the same design as the bridges used since the Kramer era. While current models use octave screws and five mounting screws, this model features a traditional Spector bridge with three mounting screws, securing the saddles to the string tension and with set screws on the side of the bridge.

This guitar features a laminated wing body with a quilted maple top and plain maple back. It has a three-piece maple neck with a through-hole construction and an ebony fingerboard. It is fitted with EMG pickups in a JJ layout. The front of the pickups is finished with a wood veneer and painted finish. The neck grip is custom-ordered in a narrow-wide, thin shape, similar to that of a Jazz Bass, providing a comfortable grip and improved playability. The preamp is equipped with a Spector HAZ, and can be powered by either 18V or 9V, but we chose the 9V option. Recent Spector HAZ preamps are equipped with dip switches, and by combining four switches, you can switch the 2-band EQ frequency. The default is set to the pre-Kramer era frequency.

The heavy bridge tightens the overall sound, outputting an impressive, metallic, and gleaming high end that's characteristic of Spector. The well-balanced range provided by the JJ layout also ensures clear reproduction from low to high frequencies. By setting the controls at the handlebars to a slight boost, you can also recreate the aggressive sound unique to the pre-Kramer era.
