About This Listing

Fender Stratocaster model ST’62A-US CAR (Candy Apple Red), made in Japan at the renowned Fujigen factory for Fender.

High-end finish, quite rare, not in the catalog, presented for the Stratocaster's 40th anniversary: alder body selected by Japanese luthiers (usually basswood), dense and dark rosewood fingerboard, and American Standard style vibrato bridge (2 mounting points).

*Selected and imported by us from JAPAN*

Excellent craftsmanship, crisp and precise, professional-quality tones. Originally equipped with three Fender USA Vintage single-coil pickups.

Ideal for rock/pop/blues. Very comfortable to play, quite light, perfect for extended playing while standing.

Very good overall condition, very few signs of wear, decent frets: 6.5/10 (see photos for details). And interestingly, an on/off switch to mute the sound, practical on stage. A fairly rare example, even in Japan.
