​Up for sale is a Pearl Reference Series 22" x 18" virgin bass drum finished in the rare and stunning Purple Craze (#393) high-gloss lacquer.

​Pearl’s flagship Reference line is built around task-specific shell recipes. For this 22" kick, Pearl engineered an ultra-thick 8-ply, 10mm hybrid shell consisting of 6 inner plies of African Mahogany for massive low-end thud and sub frequencies, capped by 2 outer plies of North American Maple for warmth and punch. Combined with Pearl’s fully-rounded bearing edge profile, this drum delivers an enormous, chest-thumping sound in both live venues and studio tracking.

​The shell is completely in-round with smooth, factory-original bearing edges.

​The Purple Craze finish shows deep, vibrant color and high gloss with only minor handling/cleaning marks from normal use

no pedal clamp rash on the hoop.

​Chrome hardware is clean and shiny with all moving parts (spurs, claws, swivel lugs) operating smoothly.

​Kept exclusively in a climate-controlled, non-smoking studio environment.

​The drum will be securely packed in a heavy-duty drum box with ample padding around the hoops, fully insured, with tracking provided immediately upon drop-off. Local pickup is also welcome if you are nearby!
