L.R. Baggs Anthem SL equipped Martin OM-28V

Here is the out of production but ever popular Vintage Series OM-28V, made in 2002.

It features a Sitka spruce top on a 000-sized body, with Indian rosewood for the sides and back. This is a model from the era when the neck material was still listed as “Solid Mahogany”; it features a Modified V neck shape, an ebony fingerboard, and an ebony bridge. The inlays follow the Style 28 design. As a Vintage model, it incorporates features similar to the HD-28V, such as herringbone inlays along the binding on the top, open-gear tuners, and a long saddle.

A retrofitted L.R. Baggs Anthem SL pickup makes this a full-fledged electro-acoustic ready to use immediately on stage or in the recording studio. Volume can be adjusted using the knob inside the soundhole. Due to the pickup installation, the saddle has been replaced with a cowbone one. The nut is original.

Despite its thin and compact OM body, this instrument produces solid low-end and has a remarkably rich volume. Highly recommended OM-28 for anyone looking for something that can hold its own on stage with great tone.

CONDITION
This used acoustic has minor scratching throughout. Although it is hard to see in the photos, there are some cracks in the finish primarily from the top shoulder to the area around the sound hole.
A strap pin has been mounted on the side of the neck heel.

The frets show some wear at about 70% of their original height. The neck has a slight bow, but the truss rod and top are in good condition. The current string action is approximately 2.5 mm on the 6th string at the 12th fret and approximately 2.0 mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret, making it very comfortable to play.
