Fender Stratocaster 1987 - 57 Blackie RI - MIJ - E Series

For sale is an exceptional, highly resonant 1989 Fender Japan '57 Stratocaster Reissue (STD-57) in classic "Blackie" finish with a Grail neck. I don't think you would buy a Fender Custom Shop version if you had a chance to play one like this first.

Built during the legendary "Golden Era" at the FujiGen Gakki factory, this guitar stands out from typical mid-tier Japanese imports due to its premium factory electronic configuration and high-end hardware appointments. This specific instrument bridges the gap between historical accuracy and pro-tier performance, making it a fantastic Guitar for both players and vintage collectors.

Made in Japan, FujiGen Gakki Factory "E911481" neck serial number and internal "STD-57" / "TD-57" neck and body pocket stamps.

Pickups: Premium domestic Japanese Alnico single-coils featuring factory-handwritten "57" bobbins.

Wiring & Electronics: Factory-wired with vintage-correct cloth push-back lead wires, full-sized USA CTS potentiometers, and a heavy-duty orange drop tone capacitor.

Neck: Maple neck with a comfortable vintage radius, walnut skunk stripe, and an aged amber tint patina.

Hardware: Historically accurate Gotoh-made vintage Kluson-style safety-post tuners and a synchronized tremolo bridge with vintage stamped steel saddles.

Tremolo Block: Desirable full-sized, heavy high-mass vintage tremolo block for maximum sustain and resonance (no cheap zinc pot-metal alloy).

Aesthetics: Period-correct 8-hole, single-ply white pickguard. All plastic covers, knobs, and switch tips have aged uniformly into a stunning, warm cream color.

Condition: The guitar is structurally sound with fully functional electronics and stable tuning. The neck is straight, and the wood around the tuners is clean. The body and neck exhibit light, authentic cosmetic finish swirling and minor play wear consistent with a well-loved, vintage 1980s instrument.

Includes vintage hardshell plush-lined case and tremolo arm.

Ships securely packaged and fully insured. A Custom Shop level of quality instrument from Fender Japan's peak Samurai guitar building era.
