Greetings and thanks a lot for your interest in this listing for a genuine, 1982 Fender USA X-1 bridge pickup. The "X-1" was the original HOT Fender pickup, measuring 7.84 kOhms on my tester—although it reads 7.65 kOhms on other devices, suggesting my meter might be slightly out of calibration—making it at least 30% hotter than a stock Strat pickup. Fender used this pickup from late 1979 through the end of 1982, installing it in the bridge position of USA Strats and in both positions of the Lead II. They may have been used in some other models as well. Made in the long-gone Fullerton CA factory, the X-1 will also work well in most any Stratocaster. Mount it in your Strat for a meatier sound that retains its vintage quality.

Pickup is in ALL ORIGINAL condition with NO MODS or repair at all! The pickup works as well as new. It had a great sound when installed, with some real bite to it and no shrillness.

Its leads fit perfectly the bridge position in a Stratocaster pickguard.

I include the original Fender 1982 cover.

I'm knowledgeable of what I'm selling and I've made every effort to represent this item accurately. I am confident that the future owner will not be disappointed.
