The 2020 Made in Japan (MIJ) Fender Aerodyne II Stratocaster is a special variation on the traditional Stratocaster. It combines the familiar Strat body and three-pickup (HSS) layout with a 24.75-inch scale length, the shorter scale associated with a Gibson electric guitar. That makes it appealing if you love the sound and versatility of a Strat but prefer a slightly shorter, more compact-feeling neck. This 2020 Aerodyne also stands out visually, with its sculpted body, binding, black pickguard and gloss black finish with its matching headstock.
And it is not just the scale length that is 3% smaller, the Aerodyne’s body is 3% smaller than the traditional Stratocaster body. The Aerodyne II, features a round-top design for improved playability, incorporates a 2-point tremolo bridge, standard-style tuners, and a 9.5-inch radius neck mounted on high quality alder body. The Dragster BB bridge humbucker pickup is designed to provide a thicker, more powerful sound than a traditional Strat single coil, giving the guitar a more versatile rock voice without abandoning the Strat layout.
The guitar is in near mint condition and comes complete with its original Fender hard case. A great option for someone wanting the best of Fender in a Gibson sized package.
