Show Some Love →This is a protype D-15A all-ash dreadnought (confirmed by Martin via email) that never went into production.
It is set up very well and plays great. The saddle has been reduced but the action is fantastic. See pics for saddle and 12th fret action. Neck is straight and true and play wear is quite minimal.
I have an email from Martin confirming that it is a protoype. Additionally, the local family-owned guitar shop where I live reached out to their Martin rep who confirmed that two protoypes were constructed and this is one of them. The information felm the rep was verbal only and does not add in-writing lineage. The email from Martin is included in pictures.
The guitar will ship in an aftermarket hardshell case that is not fancy but is in good condition and provides good protection. I will pack this guitar very securely for shipping.
