Vintage 1984 Fender Stratocaster Elite Electric Guitar w/ Original Plastic Molded Hardshell Case!

Up for sale is this vintage 1984 Fender Stratocaster Elite electric guitar. A rare model from an interesting era in Fender history, it's not common for these to show up complete and in such great finishes...

This particular example is all original with the exception of the strap buttons. The original Candy Apple Red finish is in nice condition but does show wear including some small nicks, dings, scratches, and scuffs as well as some light pick and buckle wear. The original hardware is nicely preserved although it does show some wear and pitting as to be expected with an instrument of this age. The original plastics do show some discoloration but, to us, it really makes the guitar look great and honest. It's obvious that the guitar was well-loved over the years but, all the while, cared for.

Our tech has just gone over this one by cleaning it up, polishing the frets, oiling the fretboard, spraying out the electronics, installing a fresh set of strings, and performing a set up. It plays nicely with comfortable, low action all the way up the neck. The original frets do show fairly heavy wear and divoting but still retain plenty of life. There is some fret buzz here and there if you're digging in so, if you're a heavy-handed player, you may want to adjust the set up a bit to meet your preferences and style. Our tech did not that, while everything works as it should, the push button switches can be a little scratchy at times which is a common "issue" with these. No big deal, but we like to be transparent about such things.

The original Fender USA plastic molded hardshell case is included and is in nice condition. All of the latches and hinges are present and work as they should, but the case does show wear from protecting the instrument over the years.

Overall, this one isn't mint but it's a nice example of a rare model that absolutely turns heads, plays great, and has a lot of built in tone. Don't miss out...
