________________________________

Martin 2018 CTM D-28 Guatemalan Rosewood, a Custom Shop D-28 offering a smart answer for players who long for the sound of Brazilian rosewood without the price or risk of a rare vintage piece.

A rare tonewood closest to Brazilian rosewood: the back and sides are Guatemalan rosewood, a scarce "post-Brazilian" wood now used only on top-tier models. Harder and denser than standard Indian rosewood, it captures the glassy, transparent highs associated with Brazilian rosewood and deep, powerful lows.

Custom Shop build and response: handmade from select woods by top craftsmen at the Martin Custom Shop, separate from the regular production line. Tuned to draw out the full potential of the wood, it offers notably quicker response than a regular D-28 and excellent balance with clear separation between strings.

Looks and practicality: the reddish, swirling, exotic grain of Guatemalan rosewood gives it a luxurious presence on stage, and as a modern custom model it can be played hard in today's live and recording settings without the delicacy concerns of an old vintage instrument. Quality Guatemalan rosewood is becoming increasingly scarce, and examples like this are rarely seen on the market.
