Guild Surfliner Deluxe Guitar With Floating Vibrato w/ Gigbag

Item was purchased new in May 2026. I’ve had a lot of fun with it—especially playing surf tunes—and it has been kept in excellent condition. It comes with a Guild gig bag and was recently restrung with D’Addario 10s. There is light scratching on the pickguard. The tailpiece and control cover still have plastic wrapping on it.

Overview

A classic Guild with a solid poplar body and vintage-inspired offset appeal. Inspired by the Pacific coastline, the Guild Surfliner Deluxe solidbody electric guitar is influenced by the iconic heritage and eccentric shapes of vintage Guild guitars. Its design highlights the brand's lineage by combining classic styling with modern features in an offset, solidbody electric guitar. Built with a lightweight poplar solidbody, this Surfliner Deluxe features a gloss finish and matching headstock.

The Surfliner Deluxe elevates the Surfliner platform with appointments, such as Guild’s first-ever roasted maple neck, giving it a dark, aged appearance with added stiffness and stability. A bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays complements the satin-finished C-shaped 25.5" scale neck, providing a smooth playing experience.

The Guild Surfliner Deluxe is also outfitted with a bridge HB-2 humbucker with Alnico II magnets—developed to recreate the rich, warm tone of vintage Guild humbuckers in a standard size format. The HB-2 is paired perfectly with the chiming single-coil tones of the two DeArmond Aerosonic middle and neck pickups. The Surfliner Deluxe also features a classic 5-way blade switch, offering quick access from rhythm to solo tones at the flick of a switch.

Developed for the Surfliner Deluxe, the Guild Floating Vibrato Tailpiece opens the Surfliner platform to new playing styles, capable of a broad range of vibrato effects, from subtle flutters to deep swells. The tailpiece is equipped with a nylon insert and easily accessible tension screw for ultimate control of bar tension. It also features an embossed “G” for classic Guild DNA.
