2023 Fender American Professional II Precision Bass – Olympic White – Rosewood – Deluxe Molded Case

A beautiful example of Fender’s American Professional II Precision Bass, finished in classic Olympic White with a rosewood fingerboard and tortoiseshell pickguard.

Dating from 2023, this one has had only very light home use and has never been gigged. It remains in immaculate overall condition, complete with its original Fender Deluxe Molded Case, certificate and accompanying case candy.

The American Professional II takes everything that has made the Precision Bass an industry standard for decades and subtly refines it into a seriously accomplished modern instrument.

At its heart is the classic combination of an alder body and maple neck, paired here with a dark rosewood fingerboard. Fender’s 1963 “C” neck profile gives it a substantial but extremely comfortable feel, with smooth rolled fingerboard edges and the excellent “Super-Natural” satin finish to the rear of the neck.

The sculpted neck heel is another particularly nice addition, giving easier access towards the top of the fingerboard without taking anything away from the traditional P Bass appearance.

Electronics are deliberately straightforward, as they should be on a Precision. The V-Mod II split-coil Precision Bass pickup delivers plenty of low-end authority, punch and definition, controlled simply by master volume and tone.

Hardware includes Fender’s substantial 4-saddle HiMass Vintage bridge, which can be strung either through the body or top-loaded, alongside Lightweight Vintage-Style tuners with tapered shafts.

This particular bass is currently fitted with a high-quality set of flatwound strings, giving it a wonderfully smooth feel and a warm, rounded response. They are a premium set and suit the character of the bass beautifully.

Condition

Immaculate overall.

This has seen only minor use at home and has never been gigged. There may be the very lightest handling or play marks if examined closely under direct light, but there is nothing of any significance to report.

The Olympic White finish presents beautifully, as do the neck, fingerboard and hardware.

It plays superbly and the pickup and controls are all working exactly as they should.
