Vintage 1983 Peavey T-40 Electric Bass Guitar w/ Original Plastic Molded Contour Case!

Up for sale is this vintage 1983 Peavey T-40 electric bass guitar. This bass, featuring the harder-to-find sunburst finish and rosewood fretboard combo is a great player that just also happens to look great as well...

This instrument is all original and in very nice condition for its age. The original finish does show some light wear including some small scuffs, scratches, and dings but nothing major at all. The back of the neck shows a few dings and chips in the finish that can be slightly felt while playing but no one around here seems to be bothered by it at all. The original hardware shows some expected wear and pitting but, overall, has held up nicely.

This one has just been gone over by our tech who cleaned it up, polished the frets, oiled the fretboard, sprayed out the electronics, and performed a set up. The instrument plays great with comfortable, low action all the way up the neck. It is currently strung with flat wound strings and is an absolute joy to play.

The original Peavey Contour Case is included and is in good condition although the rods that hold the lid open and upright are missing. Other than that, all of the latches and hinges are present and work as they should. The instrument will be well-packed inside and out to ensure safe shipping.

Overall, not a perfect example but a very nice one featuring the sought-after tobacco sunburst finish, rosewood fretboard, and great tone and playability. Ain't that what it's all about?
