The S2 Custom 24-08 shares many of the specifications of the S2 Custom 24, but adds a new level of versatility thanks to its intuitive switching system. The specs for this guitar include a maple top, a mahogany back and neck, and a rosewood fretboard with bird inlays. It features 24 frets, a 25” scale length with a "Pattern Thin" neck profile, the patented PRS Gen III tremolo, and Phase III locking tuners with unplated brass posts and wing-style buttons.

The PRS TCI pickups, crafted in Maryland, USA, deliver full-bodied, single-coil-style tones reminiscent of vintage "soapbar" pickups. They are paired with a 3-way pickup selector and two mini-toggle EQ switches. When engaged (in the up position), these mini-toggles act as high-pass filters, removing low frequencies while allowing high frequencies to pass through—resulting in greater clarity and a more musical tone.
