Lovepedal Karl Fuzz (Early 2004/2005 2-Knob Production Run)

Lovepedal Karl Fuzz (Early 2004/2005 2-Knob Production Run) – Olive Green – in Excellent Condition

Description:

Up for sale is a rare piece of boutique pedal history: an early 2-knob Lovepedal Karl Fuzz from the original 2004/2005 production run. This unit features the highly sought-after olive green finish and is in excellent condition. Unlike the later 3-knob reissues, this original 2-knob version features the legendary, hand-wired circuit heavily masked in resin (gooped) by Sean Alfrey during the early days of Lovepedal (see photos).

The Sound:
The Karl Fuzz is not your average Fuzz Face or Big Muff clone. It is a highly unique, aggressive silicon-based circuit with an integrated frequency-tripler design. At lower settings, it yields a gritty, articulate fuzz with incredible note definition. When you push the "Intense" knob past noon, it introduces a beautiful, ringing octave-up clang and sub-harmonic textures reminiscent of a vintage ring modulator. It maintains an incredible low-end response that cuts through any mix perfectly.
