Solid rosewood reverse-belly replacement bridge with NO saddle slot, made to replace the original 1960s plastic adjustable bridge on B-25 style flat-tops. Choose this version if your luthier wants to set the intonation and cut the saddle slot.
Guitars are meant to be played. A lot of good 1960s flat-tops ended up in closets when their original plastic adjustable bridges cracked, warped or lifted. Initial Sound bridges exist to bring those guitars back to life, so people can make music with them again.
Specs:
- Solid rosewood, reverse-belly style
- No saddle slot: for luthiers who want to set their own intonation and cut the slot themselves
- 2" string spacing, low E to high E (center to center)
- Sanded to 600 grit, buffed and polished
Designed with luthiers: the pin pattern lines up with the original, the perimeter is oversized 1/16" all around, and the back is extended a total of 1/8" behind the pin holes. It covers the original footprint cleanly and is a more substantial bridge. Michael is a machinist, and he developed this bridge with input from many luthiers.
Installation: we strongly recommend having a qualified luthier install your bridge. Removing the old bridge, preparing the top and setting placement for correct intonation is skilled work.
Not sure it fits? Message us with your guitar's model and year and a photo of the old bridge beside a ruler, and we'll confirm before you buy.
