About This Listing

This is a completely un-altered 2005 G&L Korean built ASAT SPECIAL built in the last year of Korean production of the G&L Tribute Model guitars. This is a beautiful 3-tone burst , semi-hollow body of nicely matched ASH, with beautiful flammy grain on the two piece back. The neck is Maple, with a ROSEWOOD board, and a radius of 12', the width at the nut is 1-5/8, the thickness of the neck at the 12th fret is 9/10ths ' and 8/10's at the nut. The guitar has very few marks and no dents on it to find. It was very difficult to capture the one mar on the treble butt end of the backside, but I think you'll see it in the photos attached. Action on this guitar is great, and set up to my preferences. 9.5-48 D'addario XL 120+ set of new strings, and string height at the 17th fret is 2/32nds at the Treble e, grading toward just under 3/32nds at the Bass E string at the 17th. You may want to adjust it to you personal preferences. The weight of this guitar is 6.6LBS. The guitar will ship carefully boxed and in a brand new Road Runner gig bag.

At this stage of production for tributes, all parts and hardware were shipped from Fullerton California. This included the G&L MFD Pickups. These are the same pickups used on the American ASAT'S at the time. After assembly in Korea, the Tributes were all sent back to Fullerton for inspection and setups.if you look on line for the history of Tribute manufacture, you'll find that production in Korea lasted only 3 years. some production was occurring in Japan as well; but production was shifted to Indonesia after 2005.

Many players considered the Quality of these Korean built Tributes to be every bit the equal of their American counterparts. The use of American parts and Hardware, and their return to the USA for inspection and set up also made them much less cost effective for G&L.

Please ask any questions and view all of the photos closely. Shipping is to the CONTINENTAL USA ONLY for a flat rate of $75.00 and will be insured and delivered signature required via either FedEx home/ground or UPS ground.
