1978 Celestion Black Back G12M T1221 25W 16Ohm Greenback Kurt Mueller

Great 1978 Celestion G12M T1221 Black Back 25 WATT 16Ohm ROLA speaker.

Date stamped KL4 (4 October 1978) and with the original 1777 75Hz cone although during the Kurt Mueller period cones sometimes only have the handwritten pencil marks on them, like this one.

Tested and in perfect condition. The tone of this speaker is absolutely roaring!!

It sounds more aggressive than the Pulsonic cones and could be more suited to your style if you play heavy rock. AC/DC's Angus Young is famous for this tone!!

Celestion seem to have started using these cones early in 1975. The first ones are usually unstamped or sometimes may only have a small single digit number written on them in marker or chalk. The white 1777 and 444 stamps only seem to appear on Mueller's from very late 1975 and on. With the exception being the rule here..

I guess you already know why these speakers are so revered and what kinds of tones they are capable of giving you. It's getting increasingly harder to find a matched set of these, especially with the original Kurt Mueller cones in them!
