Fender OPB51-SD 2T Precision Bass 2006 - 2008 - 2 Tone Sunburst Seymour Duncan Pickup

Fender Japan OPB51-SD 2T Precision Bass 2006-2008

Fender Japan combines Fender's traditional instrument-making aesthetics with refined Japanese craftsmanship. This time, we have the "OPB51-SD," a reproduction of the original Precision Bass, also know as the Telecaster! It is in a 2T color and weighs 4.68g.

The S serial number prefix and "Crafted in Japan," decal indicate this is a model made between 2006 and 2008, assembled by Dyna Gakki. Depending on the year, the model number may be "OPB51-105SD," but the contents are the same. It maintains stable quality and high cost performance while achieving modern playability that can adapt to various styles.

According to the Fender Japan catalog of the time, it features an ash body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard. A single Seymour Duncan "BASSLINES SCPB-1" single-coil provides the output, which is thick, punchy and warm. This Telecaster bass faithfully reproduces the unique charm of the original Precision Bass, with its distinctive pickguard, bridge, control panel, and Telecaster-style headstock.
This model is rarely seen on the used market, so don't miss out!
