For sale is a 30” Ludwig concert bass drum with the mid-60s keystone badge. 14” deep. Classic Ludwig 3-ply shell with reinforcement hoops. Clear maple interior.
The wrap on the shell was painted dark blue at some point in its past. It looks fine, but it isn’t original. Also, the two eye bolts that allowed you to attach a strap to make it a marching drum are gone. They could probably be replaced, if you like.
Otherwise this drum is in wonderful condition. The interior looks new. There is no separation of the plies. The bearing edges are in great shape.
Includes two new Remo Powermax Black Suede heads (which currently cost $82.50 each with the 25% off coupon on Musiciansfriend and almost $100 each on Sweetwater) plus the two original smooth white Ludwig Weathermaster heads. The Powermax heads have a removable muffling ring and a reverse dot. If you remove the ring, the head effectively becomes a Powerstroke 3.
Add spurs that attach to the hoops, and you could turn it into a massive Bonham-esque kick drum without having to drill holes in the shell.
Includes stand and cover. The cover is a bag that has a part of the zipper missing, so it only closes halfway. The zipper could probably be fixed and then you’d have a fully functional gig bag for it.
