1987 Fender Stratocaster MIJ, Black ST-57-70 E-series - $1250. With Jeff Beck USA - Lace Noiseless pick ups. Like blacky Clapton reissue. 3 way switch - old school.
The neck is a beautiful warm tone. This guitar is really amazing. I bought it a few years ago from guitardude who is very reputable and you can probably still see the post on reverb. Check out his other guitars, he's really a good seller. However, I'm ready to thin the herd of Strats now, as I've settled into using Teles more. Since I have had this guitar, it has never gigged and mostly been used at home in smokeless house since I bought it, here are the details from that ad a few years ago:

Here for your viewing pleasure and possible consumption is a super sick 1987 ST-57 with Jeff Beck approved Hot Noiseless pickups and a killer "Blackie" vibe. While this guitar is not any official artist model it clearly takes a page out of the soon to be Eric Clapton Strat playbook for sure. These high end models are seldom seen and are a prelude to the official model that came a few years later. The look is beyond classic and is in a genre all of it's own. It was produced at the Fuji-Gen factory in Japan, which is famous for craftsmanship and impeccable quality, which is definitely on display here. It feels extremely comfortable in the hands with a medium soft V profile neck shape. The light, beautiful maple fingerboard is the perfect compliment to this classy black finish. It is no secret that E Serial numbered Japanese Fenders are highly sought after and held in the highest regards among knowledgeable Fender collectors. The quality and craftsmanship is just perfect and they really captured some magic between 1984-87. The American made "Hot Noiseless" pickups offer classic vintage tones and warm mellow sounds that go hand in hand with this icon, with plenty of spank. Jeff Beck wanted a bigger sound and better tonal dynamics than a standard single-coil pickup could deliver, and he got exactly what he was after in the new hotter Noiseless design of these Fender Hot Noiseless Pickups. Warm and punchy neck pickup tone with a bluesy feel, and a bridge pickup that screams at high gain. The clean tone is clear and very full. These pickups deliver the best definition and sensitivity that has ever graced the Strat. It's an easy player and has all the mojo that you crave. The Guitar Dude is a tone connoisseur, and I love the classic sound of these Fender pickups! The good ones get played and this one is no different, while it exhibits some typical normal play wear that add to authentic Mojo and vibe, this Strat is in excellent cosmetic condition, showing some tiny scattered dings, dents, nicks and surface scratches, along with a little finish chip by the neck pocket. If you're in the market for a classic and great sounding/playing axe, look no further than this Strat...It has a look that will capture attention and a sound that is sure to inspire any player.
