Suhr Classic S SSS with Maple Fretboard - Sonic Blue

Suhr Classic S SSS Maple – Sonic Blue

Classic S-style looks, unmistakable single-coil tone and the modern playability and build quality Suhr is known for.

This Suhr Classic S SSS in Sonic Blue combines a traditional alder body and maple neck with a tinted maple fingerboard, three Suhr V60LP single-coils and Suhr's SSCII Silent Single Coil System. The result is a guitar that feels immediately familiar, but adds the precision, tuning stability and reliability expected from a modern high-end instrument. Suhr

Classic single-coil tone – without the unwanted hum

The three Suhr V60LP single-coils are designed for authentic vintage-inspired single-coil character: clear, open and dynamic with plenty of definition.

Suhr's SSCII Silent Single Coil System II greatly reduces the traditional 60-cycle single-coil hum without requiring a battery, allowing you to keep the response and character of true single coils while enjoying a much quieter signal. Suhr

From sparkling cleans and classic in-between sounds to blues, funk, pop and driven rock tones, the SSS configuration makes this an exceptionally versatile instrument.

Vintage feel, modern playability

The tinted maple neck features Suhr's 60's C Vintage Standard profile, measuring approximately .810"–.930". This is combined with a 9"–12" compound-radius maple fingerboard and 22 medium stainless-steel frets.

The compound radius keeps the guitar comfortable for chords lower down the neck while making bends and lead playing effortless higher up. Stainless-steel frets provide a smooth feel and excellent long-term durability. Suhr

A 1.650" Tusq nut, Suhr locking tuners and a 2-post tremolo with steel block complete the modern performance package. Dealer specifications for this exact 01-CLS-0016 configuration identify the bridge as the Gotoh 510. promusictools.com

Sonic Blue

The classic Sonic Blue finish pairs beautifully with the tinted maple fingerboard and parchment 3-ply pickguard. It's an unmistakably vintage-inspired look, but with the immaculate construction and attention to detail associated with Suhr.

If you love the look and response of a traditional S-style guitar but want better tuning stability, stainless-steel frets, a compound radius and substantially less single-coil noise, the Classic S is a very strong choice.
