Suhr Andy Wood Signature Modern T SS Guitar - Whiskey Barrel

This is the SS version of Andy Wood’s signature Modern T, combining a hand-torched swamp ash body with a roasted maple neck, jumbo stainless steel frets, Suhr Woodshed single coils, and the SSCII Silent Single Coil System.

The Whiskey Barrel Torched Satin finish is more than a visual treatment—the body is hand-torched before the satin finish is applied, burning away portions of the grain and leaving a distinctive texture that you can actually feel beneath your hands. The result is an exceptionally tactile, lightweight-feeling T-style instrument with a unique appearance and serious modern playability.

The Suhr Woodshed single-coil pickups deliver the classic T-style character Andy Wood is known for, with an articulate, dynamic response and a balance of traditional twang and aggressive punch. The SSCII Silent Single Coil System preserves the character of true single-coil pickups while dramatically reducing 60-cycle hum, with no battery required.

The roasted maple Modern Elliptical neck measures .780"–.830" and features a 16" radius, 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, and a 1.650" TUSQ nut. Suhr locking tuners and the Wilkinson 3-saddle bridge provide dependable tuning stability and a traditional T-style feel.

The Andy Wood Signature Modern T is a particularly compelling combination of traditional T-style tone and modern Suhr playability. The Woodshed single coils retain the immediacy, snap, and articulation expected from a great T-style guitar, while the roasted maple neck, 16" radius, stainless-steel frets, locking tuners, and SSCII system make it equally at home with modern technique and high-performance playing.

The Whiskey Barrel Torched Satin finish gives this particular configuration an especially distinctive appearance, while the exposed texture of the torched swamp ash makes it feel unlike a typical production T-style guitar.

A premium USA-made Suhr Andy Wood Signature built around Andy Wood’s highly refined approach to modern T-style guitars—ideal for players looking for exceptional playability, dynamic single-coil tone, traditional character, and modern performance features.
