This item is still NIB [New In Box] and has never been gigged. Only played to verify functionality and that there were no factory defects.
Bought this for a "project" bass to modify but ended up going in a different direction and built a "Franken-bass" instead. This has been with me for several months and has acclimated to the desert climate. Depending on where in the country you live [more humid - Which is pretty much everywhere], it will need to acclimate to YOUR environment and will likely need a "setup" after several weeks to a month. That is how I do it...Any new instrument I buy or assemble, I let it sit/acclimate for a month, do a setup/check the setup and THEN consider it gig-worthy...But you do you. :)
Here is the manufacturer's writeup:
The Classic Vibe '70s Jazz Bass® is a nod to the 1970s evolution of the J Bass®, combining the luxurious playability that made it famous with the versatility and massive tone of its dual Fender-Designed alnico single-coil pickups. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5"-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a vintage-style bridge with slotted barrel saddles for solid string stability. This throwback Squier model also features 1970s-inspired headstock markings, rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe.
