About this guitar:
Weight: 7.1 pounds
This guitar came directly from Jackson to my supplier, it has never been sold retail, the protective covers are still on the pickups, pick guard, truss rod cover and backs of the tuners. It was tested by factory authorized technicians, the electronics work as designed, the neck is straight with no buzz, and the set up is to factory specs. The only issue found was some finish blemishes at the heel where the neck meets the body. There is also a tiny surface crack, not in the wood. All has been sealed and is smooth to the touch. I have included close up pictures of the area. When we polished the guitar we did not find any other blemishes, dings or cracks.
Per agreement with Jackson because this guitar was not distributed through their dealer network there is a tiny used stamp on the back of the headstock and a sticker with the serial number has been placed over the stamped number.
Here is what Jackson says about the Scott Ian KVXT King V:
A co-founder of New York “Big Four” thrash metal institution Anthrax, guitarist Scott Ian has pummeled audiences with his huge sound and formidable chops for close to four decades.
Experience the veritable thrash godfather’s signature tone with the X Series Scott Ian King V KVXT, offering a 24.75” scale length, mahogany body, through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement and scarf joint. The 12”-16” compound radius laurel fingerboard features 22 jumbo frets and pearloid block inlays.
Its versatile voice is powered by a pair of Duncan Designed humbucking pickups— a biting HB-103B humbucking bridge pickup is matched to a powerful HB-103N humbucking neck pickup for articulate tone.
This signature axe also features a Jackson compensated and adjustable TOM-style bridge with anchored tailpiece, Jackson die-cast tuners and pointed 6-in-line-headstock.

FAQ, frequently asked questions
Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher? The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.
Who refurbishes your instruments? All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.
Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty? No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.
Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it? All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box. However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and getting bumped around during shipping. Also some players like to set up a new guitar to their own personal preferences.
