2016 Hofner Verythin Standard - CT

Höfner began developing the Chinese made Contemporary range around 2005, after deciding to reproduce its Verythin, Club and Violin Bass designs there. The design of the reissue Verythin varied over the years before settling on this design which has more in common with the original 1950s/60s Verithin model.

This 2016 model has the 1¼” thick body that gave the original guitars their model name. It also has the bar style fret markers on the rosewood fretboard, with more than a nod back to the original design. It also has the classic Hofner “dagger” headstock inlay. This Contemporary Series has a centre block, so semi-hollow not fully hollow like the originals. The body has figured Maple to top, back and sides finished in a lovely sunburst that shows off the flame to the top and back. The Humbucker pickups are controlled by individual volume and tone controls and a 3-way pickup selector toggle switch. The guitar is in superb condition with no obvious marks to the body and no visible fret wear – comes complete with a brand new padded gig bag.
