Up for sale is a beautifully preserved, 100% original mid-1960s Fender rectangular hardshell case, manufactured by Victoria Luggage Co. This is the period-correct case to complete your investment-grade 1966 or 1967 Fender Stratocaster or Telecaster.
Condition & Functional Details:
- Exterior: The black tolex is in very good shape with tight white piping and intact leather end caps. There are minor scuffs and two spot of tolex nicks on the bottom but overall in great condition for the age. Clearly not toured with.
- Interior: The bright orange-red plush lining is clean, vibrant, and completely odor-free. The accessory compartment ("glove box") door is fully functional and securely attached. Some of the orange fabric is worn on the edge of the glove box lid but very minor.
- Hardware: Features the correct, original raised metal "tailed" Fender script logo. The end of the logo appears to be missing but the full Fender script is in tact. The original leather-wrapped handle is solid and securely anchored. All chrome latches and internal springs work. Note for collectors: It features the smaller, period-correct Cheney/Excelsior slide buttons authentic to this transition era.
This case has spent its life in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment. It is structurally rock-solid and ready to house your prized vintage guitar safely. Please see all photos for exact cosmetic condition. See my rating and buy with confidence.
