The body genuine Fender deluxe Strat body in candy apple red. One tiny mark caused by a slip of the screwdriver is showed in the last photo. Not through the finish, but I didn't want to make it worse trying to buff it out because it is covered by your arm when you are playing anyway.
The neck is a beautifully figured roasted maple neck with stainless steel medium jumbo frets, abalone dot inlays, 9.5 radius, satin finish with a medium C profile--comfortably full for chording, but not fat. Grover locking Kluson-style tuners. The frets have had a level, grind, and polish, so it is better than most you would get here on Reverb.
Fishman Fluence Greg Koch Gristletone S type pickup set in a black anodized aluminum pickguard with the optional rechargeable battery pack. This is my favorite Strat set and is in my number 1 as well. This guitar is "clearer" sounding than that one, especially on the neck pickup, which is great with overdrive. The bridge is a wonderful Wilkinson designed to retrofit for stock Fender bridges, which I have set up to dive only, but can easily be raised to float. This is better than a stock Fender bridge for this pickup set because of the push-pull knob on the reactive tone control to activate the 2nd pickup voice; the stock Fender has the arm at an angle to the body, which really interferes with using the tone control switch. The Wilkinson does not do this, but rotates parallel to the body.
The gold hardware really contrasts beautifully with the candy apple red. I designed this as a tribute to my fraternity (hail Sinfonia!), and I think the colors work together superbly. The only reason I am selling it is that my number 1 is probably worth less because of the finish and brand names of the parts.
Please contact me with any questions you might have; I want it to get to a good home. Check my feedback on the "other" selling platform under username bijaquinas since I don't have as much history on Reverb and bid with confidence.
