This Paula is a real little treasure! For being over 30 years old, it is in very good condition – and it also comes in the Honey Burst finish, which is rather rare to find on Korean Les Pauls.

The flamed maple top has a beautiful grain and no major dings, only light signs of use. The neck is also very nicely preserved. On the back, there are a few touched-up spots and the typical playing marks that a Les Paul is allowed to have after more than 30 years.

The neck is pleasantly flat – a typical 60s profile – and feels fantastic in the hand. It plays really nice and smooth.

Soundwise, with its original Epiphone humbuckers, it does exactly what a good Paula should do: fat, warm, with lovely sustain and a singing note. Just plug in and feel at home.

One special feature of this guitar is the long-tenon neck joint. This is not only found on some of the well-known Czech Epiphone Les Pauls, but also on certain Korean models – like this one. The truss rod access is also made in the classic Gibson style.

The frets showed signs of wear and were carefully levelled, recrowned and polished by us. Afterwards, we gave the guitar a complete setup. Now it plays wonderfully and is ready for the next 30 years.

An exceptionally beautiful and well-preserved Korean Les Paul Standard with character. And anyone who has ever played a good Korean one from this period knows exactly what they are holding in their hands.
