Spector NS-2 4-String Neck Thru - Northern Lights #2320

The Spector NS-2 4-String Neck-Thru in Northern Lights is a beautifully appointed instrument that brings together exceptional craftsmanship, distinctive woods, and a highly responsive playing experience. Built with a 30" scale length and a narrow 1.5" nut width, it offers a comfortable and immediate feel across the fretted Macassar Ebony fingerboard. The three-piece Roasted Maple neck follows Spector's Standard NS profile, while the solid construction with no weight relief provides a resonant foundation. At 7 lbs 14 oz, it balances substantial tone with comfortable weight.

A bookmatched Quilted Maple top rests over a Swamp Ash back, creating a canvas for the luminous Northern Lights Artisan Stain. The high-gloss finish enhances the natural movement of the quilted figuring, giving the instrument an almost atmospheric quality as light travels across its surface. A matching wooden headstock overlay carries an Abalone logo, while Abalone Crown inlays, Blue Luminlay side dots with white borders, and black hardware add carefully considered accents throughout the design. The result is a bass that feels both elegant and unmistakably individual.

Tonally, this NS-2 is equipped with a pair of Aguilar Super Double pickups, model AG 4SD-D1 N&B, installed at standard spacing and paired with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. Together, they provide a versatile and articulate voice with the power, clarity, and dynamic response needed to move effortlessly from deep, authoritative fundamentals to expressive upper-register detail. A lightweight aluminum bridge and UltraLite tuners complement the instrument's responsive character, while Schaller straplocks provide dependable security on stage or in the studio.

Every detail of this Northern Lights NS-2 reflects a thoughtful balance of beauty, performance, and individuality. From the shimmering Quilted Maple and Roasted Maple neck to the Macassar Ebony fingerboard and luminous Abalone appointments, the instrument carries a sense of depth that extends well beyond its striking appearance. Finished with black hardware, a staff signature, and supplied with a hardshell case, this Spector is a distinctive four-string built to inspire both the eye and the ear.
