The combination of a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides gives the GPC-16E-L the tonal foundation many acoustic players seek from a Martin: strong bass response, clear trebles, rich overtones and plenty of dynamic range.

Martin's scalloped X-bracing helps the spruce top respond freely, giving the guitar excellent resonance and sustain while retaining the articulation needed for more detailed playing.

The Grand Performance body with 000 depth is equally important. It provides a full, confident acoustic voice while remaining comfortable against the player, and the cutaway opens up easy access to the upper register.

A 25.4" scale length contributes clarity, projection and a responsive feel across the strings. Martin's Modified Low Oval neck profile with High Performance Taper provides a comfortable modern playing experience that works equally well for chord work, fingerstyle and lead playing.

This is the kind of acoustic that doesn't force the player into one particular style. It has the balance and articulation for fingerstyle, enough authority for strumming and the upper-fret accessibility needed for more contemporary acoustic playing.

For the refreshed GPC-16E-L, Martin equips the guitar with L.R. Baggs Element electronics, making this an especially attractive choice for performing musicians.

The Element system is designed to capture the natural response and dynamics of the instrument, allowing the character of the spruce and East Indian rosewood construction to remain at the center of the amplified sound.

Plug into an acoustic amplifier, PA or recording setup and the GPC-16E-L is ready to work.

Finding a premium left-handed acoustic can sometimes mean compromising on selection. The Martin GPC-16E-L changes that equation by offering a genuinely professional combination of solid tonewoods, American construction, comfortable playability and stage-ready electronics.
