Electro-Harmonix Percolator Harmonic Saturator

Based on the legendary Harmonic Percolator circuit, the EHX Percolator combines asymmetric clipping with a highly interactive control layout to produce everything from smooth, dynamic drive to wild, sputtering fuzz. Its distinctive clipping character emphasises even-order harmonics, giving the pedal a harmonically rich voice that can sound thick, aggressive and wonderfully unruly.

The HARMONICS control sets the gain at the input stage, while the DRIVE/FUZZ control engages or lifts the clipping diodes to take the sound from gritty overdrive into more saturated fuzz territory. The BIAS control adds another dimension, altering the gain circuit to produce everything from octave-like textures to gated, sputtering sounds. An internal trim pot provides further control over sub-octave content and additional gain for players who want to push the circuit even further.

The Percolator also features a latching/momentary footswitch, allowing you to use it as a conventional pedal or hold the switch down for a temporary burst of harmonic mayhem. Mechanical relay true bypass switching keeps your signal clean when the effect is disengaged, while the compact die-cast enclosure makes it an easy addition to any pedalboard.
