Up for sale is an exceptional, collector-grade 2004 Gibson Custom Shop 1961 SG Special Reissue VOSin a gorgeous, vintage-accurate Faded Cherry finish.

This particular instrument is a highly coveted Yamano Music Japan Export Model, hand-selected for the Japanese market under Yamano's legendary, ultra-strict quality control standards. Because Yamano demanded only the finest tonewoods, grain patterns, and flawless craftsmanship from the Gibson factory, these export models are globally recognized by collectors as the "best of the best" from the Custom Shop.

The guitar is in excellent condition. The factory VOS treatment gives the hardware a gentle, authentic aging, while the nitrocellulose lacquer retains its beautiful soft vintage glow. It plays effortlessly across the entire neck, and the electronics are 100% untouched and original. There is minor play wear, with no major dents or gouges. Some minor scratches on the rear (no buckle rash) that I have tried to get in the photos.
