May 2026 was another strong month in the guitar gear market. Vintage and collector pieces dominated watch lists, while smart modern options and reissues led in actual sales. My theory is because summer gigging season is coming up, especially touring artists, would rather take a Quad Cortex or other pedal platform for ease of traveling and still get a great sound for live audiences. It's fun trying to predict the market and where users are flowing, what are your predictions?
Here's our data-driven breakdown based on real activity.

I wonder how June will look...
Vintage & collector gear still rules the watch lists in May, (especially high-end Les Pauls and Rickenbackers). Modern gear like the Neural DSP Quad Cortex and Eurorack modules are selling quickly, especially since summer tours will be starting for touring musicians.
Signature and tribute models (Mayer, Cobain, Hetfield, JMJ) continue performing very well. Signature artist models will always be popular until the end of time. It looks like Players are balancing nostalgia with usable, gig-ready gear but also still collecting artist models.
My Trend Prediction: Expect continued demand for 80s/90s-inspired offsets and high-quality modeling solutions as summer gig season ramps up.
