Fender California Deluxe Monterey E Electro Acoustic Guitar - Honey Sunburst

The Fender California Deluxe Monterey E offers guitarists a comfortable, mid-sized acoustic experience that handles beautifully on stage, in the studio and for solo practice sessions. It blends the distinctive, retro-inspired aesthetic of Fender's California Deluxe Series with exceptional ergonomic design, delivering an electro acoustic guitar with an ideal balance of focused projection and modern player comforts.

Built with a solid Sitka spruce top, this guitar delivers excellent note separation, dynamic responsiveness, and an articulate acoustic voice that grows richer over years of playing. This premium solid soundboard is supported by internal scalloped X-bracing, which allows the top to vibrate more freely for increased natural sustain and openness without losing mid-range punch. Paired with laminate mahogany back and sides, the instrument establishes a stable, warm tonal foundation that cuts cleanly through a live acoustic or vocal mix.

The Monterey features a compact Orchestra/Auditorium style body shape, making it an exceptionally accessible alternative to bulky traditional dreadnoughts during long writing sessions or high-energy stage sets. Playability is elevated by a mahogany neck carved into a slim "C" profile, offering a fast, fluid feel for open chords, barre positioning, and melodic lines. The neck features a smooth satin urethane finish, a 12" (30.5 cm) radius walnut fingerboard, and a classic 25.5" (64.8 cm) scale length that yields a reassuringly familiar string tension.

Equipped with an integrated Fishman CD-1 preamp system, this electro-acoustic model translates its acoustic properties into an organic, balanced amplified signal. Perfect for direct venue tracking or plugging into a dedicated acoustic amplifier, the system features dedicated onboard controls for volume, bass, and treble to shape your output on the fly. A phase control is included to mitigate feedback at higher stage volumes, while the built-in electronic tuner allows for discrete, accurate tuning adjustments between songs.

Every element of the hardware setup is engineered to support tuning consistency and uniform string response. The pair of a Micarta nut and matching saddle ensures maximum vibration transfer across all six strings, maintaining structural resonance from the headstock down to the Modern Viking bridge. Tuning is anchored by robust, sealed die-cast tuning machines featuring split shafts for easy, tidy string changes, while factory-fitted phosphor bronze strings highlight the instrument's rich acoustic texture straight out of the box.
